I am beginning to like the Google’s geeky and sexy Mobile OS contender Android with the new more good looking devices coming out which are powered by Andrid and the constantly innovative and improving Android platform itself and with the announcement Google has made on its mobile blog, Android is getting some nifty upgrades with the new V1.5 firmware release.
The most notable new enhancement is the direct video and photo uploads to Youtube and Picasa web albums. Its now very simple and a breeze to upload the videos made by your Android powered smartphone to Youtube with the use of built in Youtube upload tool. Same is the case with uploading photos to Picasa web albums.
In addition to above some of the new V1.5 firmware features are
- Fast, smooth typing with the on-screen virtual keyboard
- Easy access to favorite apps, contacts, bookmarks, and more via home screen widgets and live folders
- Video recording, playback, and sharing
- Full web experience with enhanced browser
- Hands-free calls and listening with stereo bluetooth
- Lots of UI refinements and performance improvements to the overall phone experience
- New APIs and elements to enable even more innovative apps from developers
- Gmail: multiple-thread selection to easily archive, delete, label or mute several threads at once.
- Search by voice: improved speech recognition.
