Minimizing a browser to system tray instead of task bar is one of the thing which I love about Avant browser or Orca browser but none of these two browsers are as flexible, expandable and secure as firefox and I am not sure why Mozilla developers would not built this thing by default in their popular browser.
In the past an add-on named “Minimize to tray” was used for this purpose but with the release of Firefox 3 this add-on became incompatible and was no longer working. Good news however is that the add-on has been updated now to work with Firefox version 3 and above.
Now one thing to notice here is that this update is still in its testing stage and can only be installed when you log in to Mozilla add-on site but I can assure you that I have been using it for the last two days now and there has not been any sign of a glitch or bug so far.
Go-ahead and download the add-on from Firefox add-on site.
