Canvas: A new way to personalize the looks of your Firefox

by Hamid on May 29, 2009

Canvas is a brand new add-on for Firefox which just like Mozilla’s own personas change the over all look of your web browser by using different background image artworks in the toolbar section of Firefox but Canvas comes with a great difference i.e. instead of selecting pre made artworks from personas website, Canvas lets you use any image either from your hard drive or directly from web as a background image.

Once Canvas is installed Firefox starts with a really cool overall theme as well as a Canvas toolbar which lets you personalized and add pictures from your hard drive. Making it more customized is the ability for you to adjust the image placement by moving is four sideways. Adding an image from web is rather simpler. Just select the “Add image to Canvas” from the right click context menu which appears the images is right clicked and you are good to go.

And if you are feeling more stagnant and want your internet life become more vibrant, using an animated gif image as suggested by the Canvas “after run” website would ripple your mood.

The Canvas is offered as a beta for now and you can install it by going to http://brandthunder.com/canvas
